Clopidol is a veterinary drug additive widely used to prevent coccidiosis in chickens. Clopidol, also known as dichloropyridinol and clopidol, is a white or off-white powder, very slightly soluble in methanol or ethanol, insoluble in water, acetone, ether, and benzene. It belongs to the pyridine compound and has a wide range of anticoccidial effects. It is generally used for the prevention and treatment of coccidiosis in poultry and rabbits.
