Doxycycline hydrochloride(Doxycycline hyclate) is a semi-synthetic tetracycline antibiotic that has very strong resistance to bacteria that cause respiratory infections, including Mycoplasma pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae. In addition, it can also treat infections caused by Chlamydia, Rickettsia and certain spirochetes and has antiprotozoal and anthelmintic properties.
