Enrofloxacin, sarafloxacin, danofloxacin, difloxacin, ofloxacin, norfloxacin and orbifloxacin are the third-generation fluoroquinolone broad-spectrum antibiotics commonly used in veterinary clinics. They are the ethyl compounds of ciprofloxacin, also known as ethyl ciprofloxacin, ethyl ciprofloxacin and enflurane . They are effective against Gram-negative bacteria, Gram-positive bacteria and Mycoplasma. Their antibacterial activity is significantly better than that of norfloxacin, and their effect on Mycoplasma is stronger than that of tylosin and tylosin.
