Levamisole hydrochloride is suitable for the treatment of ascarid, hookworm and Brugia malayi infections. Levamisole hydrochloride is an anthelmintic. The activity of levamisole is about twice that of the racemate, and its toxicity and side effects are also low. Levamisole can paralyze the muscles of ascarids and then be excreted from the body with feces. It is mainly used to treat ascarids and hookworms.
